Manimahesh Lake otherwise called Dal Lake, Manimahesh, is a high height lake (rise 4,080 meters (13,390 ft)) arranged near the Manimahesh Kailash Peak in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, in the Bharmour region of Chamba region of the Indian territory of Himachal Pradesh. The strict hugeness of this lake is close to that of the Lake Manasarovar in Tibet. The lake is the setting of a profoundly respected journey embraced during the long stretch of August/September comparing to the period of Bhadon as indicated by Hindu calendar, on the eighth day of the New Moon time frame.
Manimahesh Yatra Registration is now compulsory for all the devotees who need to join the yatra as per government sources the registration can be done after reaching bharmour itself & we also provide the same for our guests usually the registration form is available at Hadsar ,Bharmour , Chowari & Kalsueni, If you are having a tight schedule then can also reach the sacred shrine via helicopter & for that you have to book in advance.

Bharmaur or Bharmour or the name Brahampura was the the capital of ancient kingdom of Chamba,.65 kms from Chamba is the land of snowy & abode of God Shiva & Gaddi tribal ,earlier Bharmaur known as Brahmpur in the 6th century, was the Capital of Chamba state for about four hundred years , till it was shifted to Chamba by Sahil Varman. Bharmour holds one of very old architectures left in India, basically the temples. These temples comprises the Chaurasi Temple Complex .

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Bharmour

Arrival at Bharmour(2160 mtrs)and , rest at leisure and after meals trek to Bharmani Mata temple and back to Bharmour it is approximately 4 km hike to ridge near Bharmour town with the panoramic landscape of mountain. Locals and legends says that Bharmour is named after Bharmani Devi. While crossing through a dense village named Malkauta one can have a great close look at apple orchards. Pilgrims can have holy dip in the sacred pool at Bharmani Devi pool but the water is really very cold here. After at ease move back to Bharmour.

Day 2
Bharmour to Dhan Chho

Bharmour to Dhan Chho(2540 mtrs) ,after an early breakfast we will travel to the last motor able road to Hadsar(2275 mtrs) , its about 13kms from Bharmour.Also the starting point of Manimahesh trek. The trek to Shree Kailash Mani Mahesh is a mix of gradual steep ascend on a rocky trail which follows the Budhal Nullah en route. Overnight in camp a Dhan Chho.

Day 3
Dhanchho to Manimahesh

Dhan chho to Manimahesh and(3950 mtrs) back , After day halt of the first day of sacred trek , we will hike further to Gauri Kund (Lake of Goddess Parvati )via the normal route you can also view enchanting view of Parvati Ka Baug which is easier of all. There is also another steep trail via Bandar Ghati , which is scary one at some spots and we never refer anyone to follow that one. Ladies usually take bath here in Parvati Kund or Gauri Kund and then move further to Sacred lake Manimahesh and back to our camp at Dhan Chho.

Day 4
Dhan Chho to Bharmour

Dhan Chho to Bharmour, the last day of the trek is not that easier as its a all descend and makes muscles much stiff to descend down , walk slow and reach the motor able road at Hadsar and then drive to Bharmour hotel.

Manimahesh Yatra Trek is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.
